Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens

The main character that I have chosen is old man Fagin. He has long hair and a long beard with a strong personality. Fagin is the main character of the thieves. He also is an ambitious, greedy and he loves to manipulate the others. The character's role from Fagin is the main boss of the thieves who is obligated to steal and kill the orphan boys. These orphan boys were living with him for a place to live and for food to eat.
I chose this picture because it represents all that Old man Fagin is.

Oliver Twist is one of my favourite books. Nancy is a main role who attracts my eyes. She is a kind of sympathetic role who is the lover of bill sikes in the book oliver twist. Nancy is not a totally good person ,or she is a totally bad. That’s one of the reasons why I like her.She is normal ,just like us. Sometimes she does the wrong things, yet she gets a warm heart in her chest..

In the novel oliver twist, nancy is a very important role who connects between good people and bad people. And she has been trying to protect oliver from being kidnapped at the second time. Meanwhile, she meet rose maylie to tell her about oliver ‘s secret from sikes and fagin’ talking.. She goes to the London bridge at the midnight to meet mr brownlow which is a very nice and important person to oliver.She trys her best to help oliver out of danger so that she is killed by sikes.

Nancy is showing her kindness heavily in the story when she risks her life to help oliver.This role represented the people who could still retain a sense of good even though sometimes people tainted by society.

Paul Julius Reuter didn't invent telegraph, telephone, radio, television, Internet, but on the other hand, he is a best example of inventory character. He helped us to improve our communications. Like all inventors Reuter had exciting, passion, occupation of his life, talent, open mind and brave to create new things for other people.

More then 200 years ago Reuter started an organization for sending business information, which used telegraph for sending reports through Germany. Today his news agency is the most famous media in the world. The Reuters delivers fresh business and political news all over the countries by Internet.

Communication is the one of the most important things in our life. We want to know what is the weather will be tomorrow, or what is the result of hockey match. We want to be competent about a lot of events on the our planet. Now every day we use sell phones, GPS, satellite link, Internet. As a result of, we don't feel stiff boundaries in communication and between countries. Each moment in our life we can feel ourself person of the world.

All inventors have a great vision. The inventors, who tried to send first massages by telegraph or telephone had dreams about more perfectly world than it was. This true story is about the person who invented the first computer. I could not have chosen a better picture then this, because it’s seems like Charles Babbage was very happy and confident looking with his machine.

In 1822, in England, Charles Babbage (1792 - 1871) began work on a counting machine. British government to award him £1500 in funding and worked on it for the next ten years. This became known as the Difference Engine Number one, after that Babbage asked the government for money to make new machine, but public funding was withdrawn. He then built the Difference Engine Number two at two meters high, this was slightly smaller and much simple model that used only small number of the 25,000 parts in the first machine.

Unfortunately, a working model of the Difference Engine proved considerably more difficult to build than a desktop prototype in the end, Babbage was forced to walk away from his brainchild, but he had planned the first programmable computer. This included programs (written using cards with holes in them), a reader which was able to get results from the information, and a memory all the things that were found in later computers.

In 1991, one hundred years after Babbage’s death, a copy was built using his plans but very few people knew about his work and most of them weren’t interested. Now that hundreds of thousands of electronic parts can be put together on a board that is no more than one centimeter square. The ability of computers to do difficult mathematics and the power of the Internet to help people communicate easily, also each other have made it possible to improve ideas much faster than before. Computers have helped all the more recent inventions, which means that Babbage was one of the most important people in the history of computers.

The story talk about a poor boy as you can see in the picture.His name was the title of the book----Oliver Twist.Oliver himself is born in a workhouse and treated cruelly there as was the norm at the time for pauper children, in particular by Bumble, a parish council official or eadle The story follows Oliver as he escapes the workhouse and runs away to London. Here he receives an education in villainy from the criminal gang of Fagin that includes the brutal thief Bill Sikes, the famous artful Dodger and Nancy, Bill whore. Oliver is rescued by the intervention of a benefactor - Mr Brownlow - but the mysterious Monks gets the gang to kidnap the boy again. Nancy intervenes but is murdered viciously by Sikes after she has showed some redeeming qualities and has discovered Monk sinister intention. The story closes happily and with justice for Bumble and the cruel Monks who has hidden the truth of Oliver parentage out of malice.

I think Oliver have a good luck with his experience.In the way, escaping from the workhouse,he met Jack Dawkins to help him to London,but he didn't know that he put himself in another bad situation,but he didn't loss the confidence for this world.He met a lucky lady---Nancy.She helped Oliver for a lot.But, in fact,Oliver is a brave boy in this book. He faced a lot of bad situation from the workhouse to the London.Because of his courage and the other's help, let the story have a happy ending!He is a pretty brave boy in that community.He is a good and important character in the book!

Jos van Essen, a 29-year old former football player. He was a great football player of Rotterdam City Football CLUB. He was one of the best football players in the world. He was a very nice person and also a good-looking guy. He quit the club because he didn’t want to play dirt on football.
He dies by helping Kate Jensen (also known as the main character of the book.) to find out the truth of their friend Max Carson. He was killed by Martijn Christiaans, the guy who also killed Max Carson. By the time Jos van Essen dies, he was about to going to the UK to restart his career and life.

How many inventions are in the world? We have been living more comfortable life than long time ago, for many inventions. Sometimes, inventions change our lives. As invented printing, we can read various books and carry them. Can you imagine our lives without books? Likewise, as invented a flight, we can travel all over the world. We can go to anywhere if you have some money. Of course, all of inventions don’t give a good benefit to us. For instance, as invented a gun, there were terrible wars in the world, and many people is dying for the gun. In spite of a few bad influences of inventions, we are living convenience lives for many inventions. I would like to introduce about flight’s history.

In the year 875 in Cordoba, Abbas Ibn built a flying machine, but he hurt his back badly when he tried to fly in the sky. In 1010, Oliver jumped off a church roof, but he also hurt his legs. In the fifteenth century, Leonardo da Vinci drew the flight like bird’s wings. Unfortunately, it didn’t move when he was alive. In 1638 in Istanbul, Hazarfar Celebi built a pair of wings using da Vinci’s drawing. He jumped off a high building and flow across the sea. The twentieth century, Wright brothers used a gasoline engine when they built their flying machine. It was the first powered, manned, heavier than air controlled flight. After then, many kind of flight invented like a helicopter, a rocket. Now, we also can go to the Mars. What a fantastic the world is!

There are a lot of useful inventions in the world. We are supposed to invented things which help our lives. Think constantly and invent to awesome things! We all can be an inventor.

Johannes Gutenberg

It is known as printing was invented by China, but if you know who invented the first printing press with reusable type in Europe? From “Inventions That Changed the World”, wrote by David Maule, the answer is Johannes Gutenberg (1398-1468), a German, who lived at fifteenth century. He knew about metal from his father at his early age, and he was later trained to work gold jewelry. He used metal to make his reusable type. He had to try many of these before he found the best. He also used earlier inventions. His printing press was similar to the heavy presses that were used for marking wine. In 1454, Gutenberg began to print a new Bible- the “42-line Bible”. He made around 180 copies. Some were printed on animal skin, but more are on paper. However, some details and the large capital letters were added by hand. Gutenberg himself made nothing out of his great invention. He had borrowed money to start his business and finally give his press, his tools, and his materials to his debtor for unable to repay on time. Gutenberg died as a poor and forgotten man in 1468, and his debtor continued his work. After Gutenberg’s printing press, the invention of printing spread quickly through Western Europe, and at last to whole world. Now, the printing developed to computerized printing, and a desk-top machine that delivers good quality pages at high speed. The work of Gutenberg and his followers is now done inside a computer.

The Siberian bear lives inside of me

The ancients telling us that if we shoot some wild animal we take its behaviors ourself. I don't know it is true or false, but sometimes I feel the Siberian bear is living inside of me. Maybe it is my siberian nature, but possibly the ones of bear, which I met few years ago penetrated into me.

I grew up in the Siberian small town where the bears called "masters of taiga". Very often in my childhood I went to the taiga and could spend there a whole day. Ones I fell down in the empty bear's lair and saw there peaces of fur and tracks of bears. I was excited, but didn't got scared. I was little girl and got interested of world which surrounded me and the bears were part of my life. They were near to us, sometimes bears were walking on the streets of my town, I heard a lot of scary stories about our "master of taiga". I knew that if you don't touch it bear is very quiet and peaceful, but if you meet bear and try to shoot it or run away, bear can be very dangerous because this animal is a very fast, clever and smart. I was afraid of the bears and the same time wanted to meet it face to face, but a long time I saw bear in the zoo only.

Something changed 3 years ago when I came to the village which is surrounded by real wild places. Before I came there the native hunters had one problem. One bear got the habit to come to the apiary and steal honey. First time the hunters didn't want to kill it, but when bear destroyed half of apiary they decided to hunt it. I persuaded them to take me on the hunting.

On the next day I and two hunters built special floor on the tree which is next to apiary, dressed the special suites, picked up the riffles, hided on the tree and started to wait the bear. We set down there silently and were on the alert, because the bear walks absolutely noiseless and fast. So we were waiting for 3 or 4 hours.

There was deep night already. The full moon illuminated apiary. Surrounding us was silent dark forest, only a night bird shouted sometimes and away from us the forest stream was noisy. It was so great! I felt that I am a part of this wild world. All of my urban problems were far and only that place seemed a reality.

Suddenly under our tree a row was heard. It was a very powerful. Firstly, I became worry, but on the next second I was on the alert again and ready to shoot. But we couldn't do it, because bear was covered by leaves and didn't move to the open space. The most important hunter's rule is if you are not sure that you can kill to bear don't shoot, so nothing could be dangerous more than wounded bear. We were waiting for and bear were bowling and crashing something under us. It continued a few minutes, but it was like a few hours for me.

I felt myself strange. Two of my parts battled with each other. One part was a hunter, who wanted to kill the pray or another part was a like sister of that bear, which loves bears and wanted that it be alive.

Happily bear did right choice - it picked up beehive which we left under the tree and go away as well as it appeared. After that we were waiting that it could be back 2 hours more. We weren't sure that bear do away far. But we were so cold and we climbed down and were walking through the dark forest toward the village. It was dangerous because bear could be anywhere. We were on the alert and kept riffles in readiness. During our raid I thought that bear is the real very peaceful being. It likes honey, took it for its cubs and "master of taiga" is very caring and careful. But bear can be very dangerous if it need to protect itself. Bear didn't appear again on the our trail at that time but something changed inside me.

Now I am far from where Siberian bears live, but part of that bear and piece of that wild world are in me. My wild nature is sleeping most part of time, but I know that this bear's part will awake if I find myself in the wild world again.

HELP!

Last year,i went back to china.I had a great time with my friends.One day,we went to amusement park.We were so excited and happy.We played lots of games.The most interesting was roller coaster.

Firstly,i scaried because it seemed that it was dangerous.But my friends said they palyed so many times,it was safety.I said ok.escially,i never worried about it was dangerous,i just hate the feeling of dizzy.At that time,i knew i had to play it.second,all of us get in our seats.I felt bad.And then the machine started with a big "boom",i heard loud scream and felt dizzy.Our bodies turned left,turned right.My head went towards sky and ground.I felt my tharm was coming to my mouth.Suddenly,the machine stopped with a big boom again.unfortunately,i was headstanding, i heard only scream nothing at all.I just want to say :help,because i felt my blood flew towards head..One minute equal to a hour at that moment.It was miserable,i thought i was not married yet.Maybe today was my last day.When i was disappointed,my friends said everything would be fine.Finally,the machine restarted,and i went back to the earth.

After that i have never done that.I am cheerful i can live.That was the scariest event i have had,and i hope no more scary event happen in the future.

A scary story

Ance upon a time , my friend told me a story about ghost that is intended to frighten me . A man was kill himself because his girlfriend was fall in love with other people. Someone said:his soul will came back in the night . Due to her frighten, the girl was sleeping in the ground under the bed in that night . After tomorrow, people find the girl was died under her bed. To my surprise, her eye was opened and her eye was full of frighten. It was a really scary story.

Planchette - The Chinese Ouija Board

Planchette is very popular in chinese world , especially in secondary-school and high-school , planchette formally like the ouija board , they also mark with letters, numbers, and other symbols, theoretically use to communicate with spirits , but that is a dangerous action to communicate with spirits .

" Between the world we see , and the things we fear "

This is the real story that when i was study in high-school , in that season , planchette was very popular in teenages , there were lot of teenages played the planchette because of their curiosity , included me .

One day , me and my friends was going to play the planchette at a famous haunted building in hong kong , " there are a few rules that you must pay attention of planchette , it needs four person and place your finger on the top of the plate , you must not left your finger on the plate until you finish to communicate with spirits , the most important thing is you must not ask the spirits that the name and how do they die . " i said .

when we started to play the planchette , we spell an imprecation to communicate with the spirits , after 10 more minutes , the plate started to move on , so we started to ask the question about the spirits , my friend ask the first question about " what sex is it " , than the plate move on to the different words to answer the question , it was smooth going when my friend asked the question about how does it dead , the plate was moving violent and out of control , my friends and i were very frighten , one of my friend "Peter" , he left out the planchette and ran out to the building , we became very afarid and used the red cloth to package the planchette to the temple that is near .

After 2 weeks later , we knew that peter has a unusual sick that the doctor did not know the reason of his disease , his parents finally found a taoist priest and the priest told peter was possessed by a ghost, after he start exorcism to Peter ..............

Finally , Peter was rocover his sick ........

Although you don't believe with ghosts , don't try to communicate with ghost , cuz that is very dangerous !!!!!!

Am I Dreaming?

My scariest experience in my life was when I was petrified with horror because of the dream. I still not sure if this experience was dream or not, but I remember exactly what happened that night.

It was then, in 1990 high school summer break, I went to Kamakura (a city in Japan) with a few
close friends to stay there a couple of days. Kamakura is only 45 minutes from Tokyo, and lots of
tourists go there for beach vacation. That night, we went into haunted house which is most
famous one cursed by an evil spirit in Kamakura, but I wasn’t scared at all before I went to that
house.

First of all, the deserted house looked haunted even I don’t have any psychic skill, we had trouble with the lighter for lighting up in the pitch darkness after that feeling, also my friend got injured by a falling tree sticks.

Second of all, when we got in the house, we saw the hanging scroll, which are usually used to
display in interior. We read that hanging scrolls and it said “I met a ghost, and become a ghost,
have you ever seen it?”
After this happened, we all screaming then runway from this haunted house. The next day I was
dreaming that I was walking in my neighborhood and then truck driver was asking me something,
but I couldn’t hear. I kept saying excuse me, but driver was yelling at me and he grabbed my
neck. I was so scared and couldn’t breathe, so try get out from his hand, but I couldn’t and he said that to me you can’t runway from me! I awake from dream after his voice, but I still have difficulty breathing then I felt someone’s hands on my neck then I had first petrified and scariest experience in my life.
Psychic told me that I have problem about easy to catching some spirits, therefore I have to be
strong in my mind if I feel something bad.
I still am petrified with horror sometimes, but never, ever had this experience in my life.

Halloween

Halloween was name of scary movie and I am so afraid of this movie.why? Around one month ago, Kathy and me were going to James' birthday. After James' birthday, we planed to watch movie. We drove to Show Place theater. Eric and Steven had one idiotic idea because they didn't like to watch some funniest or romantic film. I such a fool after I watched Halloween. that' what I thought about myself. This movie was talk about Michael Myers, he has lunacy and he always saw his dead mother. One day, he saw his mother gave him one assignment in dream. This assignment was find his young sister back to their world. Myers began murdering everyone when he across the way to found his sister Anna. One part of this movie, I couldn't forget it. Because he ate dog and body of human, the meat didn't cook it. It means he ate fresh meat.He killed all of people who take care or love his sister Anna.Finally, Myers killed by his sister Anna also Anna got lunacy.I felt so uncomfortable of Myers eat fresh meat. After we watched Halloween, I felt so disgust and uncomfortable. I began to think about this event if it would occur in my life, what would I been?

The Shocking Haunted House

Halloween is the day that everyone get shock. I was shock by going to the haunted house. Last year I went there, it was so creepy and horrified in the haunted house. Once I get in there, I walking around and suddenly theres a person pop in front of me. The person is actually a real person but to me it look so fake at first. This is very creepy. Also, when I walking around in there, I thinking that there is a person behind me, keep on poking me and following me like there is a ghost. But when I turn around theres no one. I think is very mysterious and is very spooky. In that moment I was not able to move a step because of the scary things that happen to me in there. In the haunted house, I am very shock of the items like the ghost, mummies etc. I also think that it is very awesome to do this because that's what Halloween should be"Shocking". This is the moment that I got so shock is at the creepy haunted house. That's the scary moment that I have in my life so far.

Woman Ghost

When I worked in the restaurant as a waitress,my friend tell me a truth scary story!She heard someone tell her that story,a lot of people don't believe it ,but it's really a true story!

In China ,there are a lot of people want to go to the America,like our hometown's people.They want to come to America to make more money and then come back.When they go to the America,they will climb a lot of mountains and pass the Pacific Ocean.It's so dangerous and unsafe for themselves.A girl also go to the America.When they passed the Pacific Ocean, the girl sat the head of the boat at that night. She saw a woman with the watering hair.She talked to her about something,but she didn't know that woman is a ghost.The woman tell her to phone her family and then tell her family member to take her go home.The woman tell her "I don't want to live here for a long time,take me go home,for here is so cold and terrible".But when the girl passed the Pacific Ocean ,She forgot it .So she always sick all the way .She saw a lot of doctors,but she also sick.Finally,she suddenly remembered the woman word,so she called her mother to ask people "Do you have that woman in the village?".Because they were in the same village.The result of that is really have the existence of that woman.But she already died for a long time.When her mother told her the result ,she scared to death.She knew she met a ghost.Finally,she couldn't take her to go home ,so the girl died at the way to the America.She can't arrived the America already died.

When my friend told me that story,because of my imagination,I think I can see the ghost,it may be so scary.In China,we think if you see the ghost,you will unlucky for all your life.So I don't want any scary story of the ghost,it will make me to imagine it.It's so scary!!!

The Mortuary

I don't fear ghost but I had scared event, and I have not forgotten until now. I was a nurse assistand and worked in big hospital in Hong Kong. On 1999 Chinese New Year, I got a night shift with another register nurse. We were not busy in night, so I took a nap. At middnight a doctor came, and took a sample asked me delivered to the lab.
The hospital was quite silent in the night of Chinese New Year. The lab have been at another building. I entered in the elevator, and leaned on the other side while I was sleeping. A few minuates later, the elevator door opened suddenly behind myback. I fell down outside. The elevator had gone before I stood up. I noticed around. Wow, I was in the mortuary. The light was dark and was flashing. I might wait for few minuates, yet I felt to wait for half hour. Finally, the elevetor was coming ,and I closed my eyes rushed in, but I fell on a coffin. I was very scary and worried to take the bad luck. Fortunatly, nothing happened in next year.

My Scare Story

I hear a lot of story that talk about the scare. Here has one case that talk about scare. There has one kid was born . After a few years ,his parent celebrate in his birthday party . Mom and Dad very happy, so They shoot a video for him . When the kid jump on the bed ,suddenly he fell down to the floor and dead.Mom and Dad very sad .After a few months, they want to re-read it out with the video, but they see a blood-stained hand that was clutching their kid 's hair . slowly , slowly .But at the final , It throws their kid to the floor ! Then his parent doesn't fell well ,and go to the state of coma. When they wake up ,they can't find the video .They told everybody ,but nobody believe them !!

In my opinion , I believe that 99% of the scare story are not true , also has some are true !

On a warm summer night, a couple of friends of mine and I stayed outside until about 3:00 a.m. We were talking about scary story that has happened to us. One friend began to tell us about a weird encounter he had with a ghost or something supernatural. He said he was driving back home when he saw a hitchhiker on the road. When he passed the woman, he looked back in the rearview mirror to catch a glance to that woman , but to his surprise the woman appeared to sitting in his back seat. He was in a cold sweat from the woman.He had must been really tired of driving or something but he just keep himself calm and forgot it then continued on his way.It was a fearful thing when it happened to me..

how to meet the ghost

I heard many scary ghost stories from my friends, but it does not have scarcest story for me. I just remember many scary tricks for how to meet the ghost, every trick do in your self at midnight or after midnight but before 5.30 am. I am not sure I never do every trick before. First of all trick, holding a joss stick in your mouth and light up your joss stick and sleep with dead body. After that, until 40 minutes open your eyes. If you are lucky, you will meet the ghost looking you. Second trick, changing your iris eye with somebody died a violent death. Than, your new iris eye can look every ghost around you. Next trick, going to very old house that nobody live in long time and has many person died in the house. Than, you shout an order to somebody dead come out to meet you. If you are lucky, they will come out to meet you. Last trick, going to sleep at hospital that closed down in ICU room, intensive care unit. Than, if you are lucky, you will meet the ghost . All of I told about if you did before, please share together or share what did you do for meet the ghost and how your result.

The dead face

In my younger days, I was a prison officer. There was a prisoner who used to give me the creeps. He was, I think of Thai descent, for he had a dark brown complexion and a lean, bony face. There were mystical tattoos on his body in the shape of serpents and skulls. I believe he was a worshipper of demons.
This guy was morose. He had these dark gleaming eyes which constantly hinted at dangerous plans. Thus we prison officers never liked him. There was a threatening air that surrounded him wherever he went. As if he as involved in some conspiracy....
Every morning, he would murmur the prayers. The incantations sent shivers down my spine. And no matter how much we hollered at him to stop, he would continue without fail, even if he lowered his voice and whispered. Nevertheless, the entire prison would be conscious of his prayers. And whenever I checked his cell, I would note that he was kneeling towards the west. You could sense something evil about this man.
The eerie incidents began after he was stabbed to death. An argument in the toilet resulted in a horrendous fight. A few prisoners ganged up on him and killed him with something sharp. Apparently, he had held down and repeatedly stabbed in the heart and throat. From then on, there would be a pool of blood which appeared and disappeared in a mysterious manner. At night, you could go to the toilet and discover a scarlet puddle that had emerged from nowhere, precisely where the guy had bled to death. It is the sign of disturbed spirit.
On certain nights, it seems, when all else was quiet, there would be an ominous murmuring of prayers as well coming from the west. And no one would be there

A Scary Event
I had a bad, scary memory about dead people in my life. It was about my great grandmother who died when she was 96 years old and I was 6 years old. I heard a lot of scary stories when elders wanted me to be a good child. When I knew my great grandmother died, I was so scaried and worried she would sit up and catched me to go with her. In our tradition, old people died at his/her own house and the descendant send the body to the cemetery as an honour thing, so we needed to wait for my grandfather to come back from Hong Kong in a few days, and we let my great grandmother's body lied on a special wood bed covered with white linen on the dark corner of our living room. My father used some strong smelling liquid medicine to cover the smell of the dead body because it was summer time and my great grandmother died for a long time illness. Everybody in my family was wearing white color clothes and could not speak loud. The surroundings terrified me, I kept following my mother wherever she went, and I was so scaried to walk close or look at the corner where my great grandmother was. After burying my great grandmother, I was still afraid to walk close to the corner for a long time. Maybe some people say this event is nothing, but it was scray for a 6-year-old little girl. I am still afraid today.

A Big Umbrella Saved My Life

The scariest moment in my life was when I was almost drowned a river when I was 5 years old. I didn’t remember everything of that moment, but I could remember clearly how dangerous that situation was.

A gale was blowing outside. The windowpanes were blown out by the blast. It looked so scary outside. Suddenly, my sister, who was 4 years older than me, started to cry and said that she had a toothache. We lived in small town where there wasn’t any dental hospital near my house. We were supposed to go to the dental hospital which was located cross the river. There was a narrow and old bridge which was made of wood. We needed to pass the bridge. My mom carried my sister on her back and I followed them as I used a big umbrella. The wind was blowing hard when we crossed the wood bridge. I couldn’t stand, I couldn’t move at all. Finally, I fell into the river. When I fell into the river, I got a ride on the umbrella fortunately. It was possible, for I was a girl who was light as a feather. Of course, I am not light any more. A few minutes later, my daddy’s friend saw me as I was swept by the river. In spite of huge water, he swum and rescued me. He saved a young girl’s life.

My family used to talk about that, and we still thank the brave man and the big umbrella. I appreciate that I can live with my family and friends. I hope that the scariest moment in my life was the last moment. I don’t want to experience that again.

Live economically

When I was recently in Europe (Paris, Spain Italy), I was astonished about they are living simply and economically. In Japan, they have details separate recyclable from non-recyclable trash but I feel extravagant wrapping such as boutique. Japan doesn't have paper towel at public restroom for saving resources.　 Europe as well but, most restroom is lights out when I get in restroom because saving energy. They have system for automatically lights on/off! It was really amazing to me because we don't have that system in Japan.

I used to care and think about how to live more economically specially when I was living in San Francisco. For example, I always bring "Eco bag" to the Grocery shopping because they can't use anymore plastic bags at any shop in SF. But now, sometime I don't care because Chicago still can use and gave me a plastic bags. After my Europe trip, I suddenly realized that this is not right! I'll try live economically as much as possible.

surprise

When I went back to China last year,I told my mom to pick me up when I arrived in the

airport.The next day I arrived to Beijing.Firstly I saw my mom and my aunt.Then I saw a very familiar figure,that is him.He is my best friend for over ten years.He didn't tell me he will come to pick me up.This makes me very surprise.Also I was very exciting to see him.I am very lucky to have this friend to be my best friend.

Birthday Cake

When I was 15 years old.My friends made a delicious cake for me.I was surprise because that day not my birthday . In the morning I didn't know why my friend came to my house.Thay just told me " This is my cooking class group we had a homework is making a cake" then I said cooking class does't have homework in this week but my friends told me the teacher gave homework with them. I didn't know because in that time I went into bathroom.I thought the last cooking class in this week I always sat in the class.I thought have something wrong I didn't believe in the homework.Next,my friends told me with some friend to go to supermarket to buy something to make a cake .Next, at supermarket I found a lot of thing that my friends wrote on a paper.After that, some friend that came with me told me I was hungry I need to eat some food. Then, I came to eat with her.After that, we came to my home.Then , my friends give birthday card to me and said " Happy Birthday To You " .Then some my friend in the back walked to me with a litter pink cake.I was very happy but I said I had a question Do you know when my birthday? My friends said it is today.I said Not Yes!!! my birthday was 3 days ago.Finally,I said thank you with my friend for everything that make me a big surprise and I will remember all of you.

" The BIG Surprise "

It was my friend experience with his 19 years old birthday .

My friend birthday that day,all of his friends and his family had a birthday party in the afternoon at his home.

In that day,his friends and i were planning a big surprise for his 19 years old when it was few weeks ago,we found that he likes parrot so much, he knew all about parrot that what they like to eat or what the like to do,although he like parrot so much,but he haven't gotten enough money to buy a parrot,so i decided to but a parrot for his birthday present.

When the birthday party became to the end,we gave him a "big surprise" that when we were singing the birthday song for him,when he saw the parrot,he was very astonishing that he haven't think about that he had a pet is a parrot .

"A Big Surprise"

April 1st is April Fools' Day. Actually, that must be a special day. But the whole thing is calm in this day. After dinner, I go back to my room and stay at room until 10'clock. Suddenly, I can hear someone knocking on my wardrobe. I'm very surprised. So I ask for help to my parents. To our surprise , my brother came out from my wardrobe when we open the wardrobe. That is a miracalous happening. My brother told me he just want to give me a surprise. Because today is April Fools' Day. But the surprise was failed in the end.

$5 Dinner And $500 For Medical

Everyone fears for their own cars when the gas $4.59 per gallon because no one want to waste too much money on it.But I am not.I still remember it was Sunday night.I was driving at 127th ST.At that time,my lovely car asked me for dinner(gas light on).Finally I found the advanced restaurant.He sit at table 8 then started his dinne. 15 gallons dinne just $5.I was so happied cause he got the big dinne with lower bill.He had the dinne everytimes here in next two months.Someday morning he didn't feel good.He went to hospeital.The doctor said: you ate too much bad food (gas has bad quality).A few more hour later his turning health. After one week the hospital sended the letter to me.It was the $500 payment for he. Oh My God. This's my big big big surprise in my life.I won't forget it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Suprised My Friend Come to Chicago

A time when I was surprised was my best friend from China who came Chicago to visit me. I never thought she would come here and visit me. At that moment I was excited when I seen her. We have talk a lots of stuff back when we are little kids. Like what we like to play together, eat, how we met. The next thing I want to do with her while she still in Chicago, I went shopping with her, Take her to places and visit. This surprised ended that she have to leave and go back to China. I was very surprised about this beacuse I haven't seen her for a long time. I can't believe she came and visit me. My family and I were involved during this whole surprise. This surprise was very successful to me because I hope that she will come here and visit me someday. My hope came true. That was my surprise.

A Surprised Bitrhday Party

I was spending hard time 3 years ago. I had bunch of work at my job, I worked at newspaper company as a designer. We had a dead line every Friday, I should work untill midnight every Friday. That was not a real life what I wanted before. That time, I always fighted with my boy friend and yelled to my friends. They tried to help me very much but nobody helped me.
One day, before 1 weeks my birthday ,they asked me "what do you want to do your birthday?" But I didn't want to anything, I needed to sleep.
After I finished with work on terrible Friday, I went to go home.
I was so surprised when I opened door, there were many firends, beautiful flowers, a lot of balloons on the wall and a birthday cake on the table.
My friends was starting sing a song with a big hug. That's a good surprise to me.
I was happy at my birthday, I could forget my work a little while.

Someone stole my mother's friend.what happened in this history :she left her bank card in the machine someone got it and clean out her account .she didn't notice for a few days that her card was missing yb the time she realized it .when she explained to us my mother and i were worried for do not that thief use her card to make purchases she said that she doesn't know what she's going to do .Two weeks ago the result was out that was a guy in her neighborhood when she told me that i was very surprised because sometimes when i visit my aunt in her house i saw him to say hi to my aunt ,one day this guy watched her enter her password to steal her money from her account .the police managed to find him after that when the police found him she got her moner back .everybody tells her to be careful next time.

Good Mermory,Good Friend

In my middle school, I have a best friend . Before I graduated
from the middle school. I argued with her. But in Grade 7 to 8,
when we after class, we are sitting around the desk,we're talking and drawing something or writing something on the table cover.So the table cover is our good memory. But after a lot of classmates already throw away the table cover. After the quarrel, in the high school, we have made it up. She show the desk cover to me. I'm so surprised in this.She protected it very well. It's our good memory. So now we're also the best friend . We miss that time when we're in the middle school.Because we have a lot of time to stay together.But now I'm in the USA,she is in the China, I miss her very much.So for a few time we're talking by the Internet. She let me feel so surprising, we are always the best friend.

A Birthday Surprise

I got a surprise on my birthday. Usually, I just have a birthday dinner and birthday cake with my family, a birthday card from my kids, and a few calls from my parents and brothers. I usually don't receive any presents. But this year's birthday, I really got a surprise.
In this year's birthday, just like normal, but before I went to sleep, my husband stood in front of me and said "Happy Birthday" to me, and slowly handed a present to me from his back. I was so surprised, I didn't beleive that was true, and I was wondering how he got that present. I knew he works hard everyday, he wouldn't has time to buy me a present, and he isn't a romantic person, he always says he earn money for me to spend, and he doesn't care how much I spend. It seems I rarely get a present from him. When I tore off the wrafing paper, I saw a beautiful box with mormaid. I wondered what was that when I opened the box, there was a set of lotion and perfume. I was watching my husband and laughing. What's surprise! And he was laughing too. He told me that he told our niece to buy me a present when she went shopping. Our niece thought all women would like perfume, so she bought that for me. I got all the answers, my husband still isn't romantic, his character still does't change. My husband told me I should wear it. I've never wear perfume before, but I promised him I'll wear it someday. I don't want my kids to mess with this surprise present, so I put it on the highest shelf of the closet. After I put it there, it's hardly to see and reach, so I always forget it.I still haven't worn once. I found I'm not a romantic person too. Anyway, that was a big surprise in my life, I won't forget it.

I was very surprise that came Chicago at first time. My wallet got stolen in the airport. I didn't notice for few hours because I arrived Chicago at 11pm. Next morning at 8am I couldn't find my wallet and called the bank. I was very surprise my bank card got used at Target and gas station in midnight. The thief also use my Taiwan's credit card which has different name on it. I didn't understand how the thief used it. I was surprise that the thief did that many things in such short time. Finally, the banks accepted my complaint but I am more paranoid now. From now on, I never put my credit card and Id card in my wallet together.

Mysterious~ Ring~

Last year, i had a big surprise on Valentine's Day. At

that time, i have

been with my boyfriend for 4 months. Being together both of us

feel happy and comfortable.

In the morning, we got up as usual. And then he said:"how about going

outside with friends?"I felt a little disappoint because today was Valentine's

Day,but i said:"ok."We went to eat,play games untill 8 o'clock.One thing i was

thinking all day was: WHERE IS MY VALENTINE ?

We went to Navy Pier and took a walk still with many people.While i was

getting angrier and angrier, all of them went to play a big machine which could

go round and round. However, I had to follow them.

Each couple sat a small room.We all went up when the machine

started.While my boyfriend and i were going the highest, he was taking out a

small box from his pocket.At that time, i was surprised with opening my mouth.I

open the small box. There was a ring coming to my eyes.Then i was surprised

again.

Finally, i realized he wanted give me a surprise so that he did not say

anything about valentine.It works till now.I think i will remember it forever.
